Special Session for DB FEC Winners at CFA Institute NYC office

On August 22nd at 10 AM EST, a special session was held at the CFA Institute NYC office for the winning team members of the DB FEC (DB Financial Essay Competition).

DB FEC is a Financial Essay Competition for university students in South Korea organized by the DB Foundation. It’s the largest financial competition for university students in Korea, with around 1500 students participating each year.

The winners of the competition are offered the opportunity to visit advanced financial cities like New York, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

In May of this year, CFA Society Korea established a mutual cooperation agreement with the DB Foundation, aimed at fostering talent in the financial sector in South Korea. Under this agreement, the DB Foundation provides financial support for the Society’s University outreach activities, including the Research Challenge, over the next five years.

During the special session, visiting students had the privilege to learn from two distinguished speakers, James Adams, CFA, and Rob Langrick, CFA, CIPM. They shared insights about Wall Street, global financial markets, the competitiveness of the CFA credential in various fields on Wall Street, and delivered valuable experiences and wisdom.
